A B.S. or M.Phil degree in electronic/computer engineering or related field with
experience in programming DSP, microprocessor, and/or embedded systems.
Industrial experience is a plus but not required. The task for the DSP
Applications Engineer is to develop a DSP or MCU platform for computer vision
and MEMS sensor based applications. The candidate should have demonstrated
good programming skills and a technical portfolio of accomplishments in taking
DSP implementation and DSP programs from conception to delivery. The job
requires the candidate to have strong hands-on experience in analyzing and
developing DSP/MCU based embedded applications.
Required Skills:
1. Experience with DSP system and project development
2. Very strong problem solving skills
3. Written communication skills, including program specifications and user documentation
4. Excellent teamwork, oral communication and collaboration skills
5. Strong background in applied mathematics and modeling
6. Good time management skill and can form a scheme to finish work on time
Responsibilities:
1. Interpreting project specifications and documents
2. DSP system design, including design circuit schematic, PCB Routing, debug and test
3. DSP software module design and implementation in both C and assembly
4. Draft test plans, develop validation systems and validate DSP software
modules
5. Develop Computer Vision Enhancement Algorithms based on DSP platform
6. DSP software troubleshooting, validation and code debugging
