Virtus CEO Louis Ross will give an invited talk on `Advanced Multi-Axis Inertial Sensors and Their Applications in the Vehicle` at the Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA) conference in Berlin, Germany.
Microsystems (MST) applications in automobiles have become commonplace and have led to the development of great functionality, have replaced outdated technology, improved performance and reduced costs in today´s automobiles. The growth of MSTs in the automotive area has followed the tremendous growth of automotive electronics in general. The conference will feature the following topics:
- Safety - all aspects of preventive and protective safety (e.g. accident avoidance, pre- and after-crash actions, vehicle stability control)
- Powertrain -on-line measurement and control of engine and transmission subsystems (e.g. emission control, traction control)
- Comfort and HMI -systems to enhance the comfort of passengers and human machine interface issues (e.g. seat, climate control, driver assistance)
- Networked Vehicle -all aspects of intra-car systems and ambient communication
- Technology related topics
- Sensors -(e.g. pressure, harsh environment), power aspects (e.g. low power sensors, energy harvesting), managing complexity
